Selecting your hairstyle

Selecting the best hairstyle for your big day can be confusing so here are a couple of things to keep in mind:
Match your gown – A boho style gown will look fabulous paired with loose waves or a relaxed half up, half down hairdo. Alternatively if you prefer old hollywood style glamour, pair a vintage style gown with 1950’s victory rolls or a French twist.
Factor in the Season – If your hair doesn’t like humidity but you have your heart set on a summer wedding you may want to opt for a more structured or slicked back hairstyle.
Location, Location, Location – if you are getting hitched outdoors you need to keep the elements in mind, a low or high ponytail is perfect for both beach or garden weddings. Alternatively a more formal indoor ceremony would suit a ballerina bun or similarly classic hairstyle.
A hair trial is a must – It is important to know whether your chosen style complements both your face and your gown. A professional hair stylist should be able to help you alter any style to suit your face shape and hair type without steering you too far from your original idea.
Remember if you want your bridesmaids to look a certain way, it is perfectly fine to ask them to wear their hair in a style to match yours.
